Amy Boothroyd deals with a lot of Italian clients in her job and chose to study Italian Level 1 (lunchtime option) so that she could understand and communicate well with them.

'I have just completed the Beginners course at Bishopsgate Institute and I am already able to use some Italian in conversation with my clients. They really appreciate that I am learning their language and I think it will definitely improve our relationships.

I love being able to study in my lunch hour, it is so convenient, especially as my office is only five minutes away from the Institute. And studying twice a week means that you don’t forget too much in between lessons!

The course has been extremely enjoyable. It is a lovely language to study. English is not my first language and I think the fact that the tutor is a native Italian and we get to do a lot of speaking practice has really helped me to learn. I am determined to become fluent in Italian and I have already enrolled for level 2!'
