Established in 1979, the City of London College is a private college in close proximity to the financial core of the capital. Courses on offer at the college can lead students to master’s level qualifications in UK universities, or equip them to enter the professional job market. Most of the college’s courses are full time, though some are available on part-time, evening or day-release basis. Courses include accountancy, business studies, computer studies, hotel and restaurant management, travel and tourism management, secretarial studies, and English language. City of London College is an approved tuition centre for such professional bodies as the AAT, IMIS, CIM, ABE, C&G, LCCI and Pitmans.

What's on offer

The City of London College library stocks all the books that appear on the departmental reading lists. It is on the subscription list of a variety of journals and magazines. The library has photocopying facilities, which students can use on payment of a small charge. The college offers career advice as well as an adviser to help students choose and enroll on courses. Overseas students can be received at the airport on arrival and are entitled to English language support throughout the year, should they need it. The City of London College can arrange accommodation on request. This costs between £95 and £105 a week.

To encourage students to make the most of their leisure time in the UK, visits and social activities are arranged throughout the year. Educational trips to the Bank of England, the Stock Exchange, London Museum, the Houses of Parliament, art galleries etc, and excursion trips to cities and towns in England such as Brighton, Cambridge etc, are organised by subject teachers and heads of departments. The City of London College also holds staff/student parties and celebrates cultural events of significance to different nationalities. Near to the City of London College are sports facilities for those who want to engage in health and fitness activities.
