Since 1953 the college, International House London, has developed expertise in teaching people to communicate in another language and in the last two years over 12,000 students chose to study at IH London (International House London). The range of courses offered include General English, Business English, Teacher Training, Modern Languages, Educational Management and Cultural Training programmes. It is located in central London, just opposite Green Park and a few minutes walk from Green Park station.

International House is an educational trust committed to raising the standards of language teaching throughout the world. International House London is part of a global network of more than 130 International House schools worldwide. In 2005 students came to study at International House from over 143 different countries.

What's on offer
The Modern Languages Department at International House runs an extensive programme of courses in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese and Spanish. Courses are offered at all levels from Beginners to Advanced: Evening Part-Time and Daytime groups; in-company ONE-to-ONE and closed groups.

The English Department runs a wide range of programmes full time daytime and part-time in the evening in General English; IELTS - CAMBRIDGE Examination preparation courses; Business English in groups and one-to-one; University Foundation Programmes; Salaried Work Placement programmes and Academic Year programmes.

The Teacher Training Department offers preparation courses leading to CELTA-DELTA-IHC TESOL-LCCI Cert. in teaching for Business- DELTA by distance training- Educational Management programmes and a wide range of courses for overseas teachers of English from Language Development and Teaching skills to Current Trends in ELT.

For native speakers of ARABIC-FRENCH-GERMAN-ITALIAN-SPANISH who are looking at a teaching carrier in the UK, we offer full time and part-time programmes leading to the IH CLTA teaching certificate.

Language Development and Teaching Skills -1 week programmes are also offered during the summer to teachers of FRENCH-GERMAN-ITALIAN-SPANISH who are not native speakers.
